The team that has been nicknamed Samurai Blue by the fans will be playing against Cameroon, Holland and Denmark after drawing Group E for the 1st round of the 2010 World Cup. Japan will be the 10th match of the Cup and will be starting things out with Cameroon on June 14th out of Mangaung. Key players looking to get their team the title are midfielder Keisuke Honda who is powerful, quick, and has an eye for the goal; Midfielder Makota Hasebe is an outstanding exponent and has emerged as one of Japan’s key players; 2009 Asian footballer of the year was Yashito Endo and has proved it as he’s a technically gifted midfielder.
